Why does the world feel so chaotic?

Statistically speaking, the world is still safer, more accessible and connected than ever before.

And yet, our experience of the world can tell a very different story. Controversy, conflict, panic, and negative news dominate the headlines. It doesn’t matter which direction you turn. Politics, pandemics, violence, and economic conditions flood the headlines… chaos appears to be everywhere. Add in the stresses of everyday life, such as work, managing relationships plus finances, and we can easily become overloaded.

In an ever-changing world, the amount of information we consume has not only skyrocketed, but it feels like it’s coming at us non-stop. All of this certainly influences the way we perceive the world.

So how do we find inner peace?

Imagine a life where you no longer feel consumed by fear… you are at peace and trust your own decision-making abilities. You feel inspired and experience more happiness in your life.

The truth is that within each of us is the power to tap into this state of inner peace. You may be someone who at times feels a sense of calm, but then life always seems to get in the way. Things might be humming along just fine, but then all of a sudden something unexpected happens and instantly, you fall into a state of stress or uncertainty. It stops us in our tracks and can be overwhelming at times.

What most people don’t know is we actually operate from one of two core states. As human beings, we are either in alignment or out of alignment.

What does this actually mean?

When you are in alignment, you more consistently experience clarity of mind. Your thoughts and actions are driven from a place of inner peace. And even in the face of apparent challenges, you feel guided towards ideal solutions. Life is Joyful.

But when you are out of alignment, your experiences are at the mercy of the world and the circumstances around you. When things are good, they can be great. But when stressors arise, it can quickly flip on you. When you are in an “out of alignment” state, your automatic habits and emotions control your reactions. It’s then easy to become influenced by fear, anxiety, depression, anger, guilt, or other conditional patterns.

Is there a way to consciously shift into alignment?

When we first discovered the concept of in alignment vs out of alignment, it was a big “ah-ah” moment. Finally it made sense why we could so easily flip back and forth between emotional states. We realized that very often we were operating from an out of alignment state. With this understanding, we began to make a conscious effort to live more in alignment.

However, we still found ourselves shifting back into old patterns and becoming emotionally triggered. Why was this still happening? As hard as we tried, our subconscious programming still wasn’t supporting us. Years of old beliefs and habits continued to hold power over us. This is why many personal development books or programs simply don’t work. They may provide quick benefits, but often we will eventually shift back into our previous patterns.

We continued to search for answers and new ways to create lasting changes. In our research, we stumbled upon the Aramaic-based translations of the Beatitudes that Jesus taught in the Sermon on the Mount. Aramaic would have been the dominant language spoken at the time, and what most experts agree Jesus spoke.

This version of the Beatitudes seemed to promise exactly the solutions we were looking for.

However, having already been familiar with the Beatitudes, these interpretations actually confused us at first. Their wording didn’t seem to match the translation of the Beatitudes we had previously been taught.

Or at least that is what we thought.

The Promise of a Better Life…

With the promise of benefits so great, we were intrigued to dive deeper into these translations. We wanted to know more about the Aramaic language and how that might have affected later interpretations. We learned that Aramaic was very much a language of tone and vibration. Like Mandarin, a single word in a sound-based language may have seven or even eight different meanings based on tone alone! However, when the Beatitudes were first transcribed into what later became the Bible, it was written in Greek. Greek is very much a linear, meaning-based language, like English.

And as Greek-American poet and translator of Greek poetry, Kimon Friar states,

“Even the simplest word can never be rendered with its exact equivalent into another language.”

Over the past several years, we’ve searched through the countless different translations to understand the core truth behind what Jesus said nearly 2,000 years ago. And in doing so, the question kept surfacing over and over…

Could there be more to this than what we’ve previously been taught?

With so many interpretations of the Beatitudes, from English to Old English, then back to Latin, Greek and finally Aramaic, some of them didn’t make sense to us until after exploring others. What we finally discovered was a much deeper meaning to the version of the Beatitudes that many of us know today.

Within these teachings, Jesus actually laid out a set of practices that easily allow us to shift into alignment and experience greater inner peace within.

When we began to test these discoveries and implement them into our own lives, we experienced profound transformation. The best part? These practices automatically integrate the principles into our core programming, allowing for lasting change.
